Requirements for
Panamanian Passport
The process takes between
6 and 8 weeks.
1. Fill the application
form (only hand print or typed
will be accepted)
Download the document "Passport
application (Solicitud de pasaporte)"
2. Two (2) copies of the
first page of the expired passport.
(Copies must be signed, indicating
this is the last passport that has been
issued). If you have lost, destroyed
or have run out of pages in your passport
before its expiration please download
, "Anulación
de pasaporte" .

3. Two (2) copies of the Panamanian
birth certificate.
If you do not have it, send an International
Western Union money order(no others accepted)
issued to ""Tribunal Electoral
de Panama" in the amount of
$2.50
4. Two (2) copies of the petitioner Panamanian
personal identification card
5. Two (2) photographs, passport size,
(size 35 mm wide x 45 mm high). Must be
in color, not glossy, and with a white
background. Ladies (No sleeveless
blouse), no big earings, no piercing and
no glasses(even if you wear prescription
glasses).
6. Blood Type shown in a legal document
(medical certificate, passport or picture
I.D)
7. Signature of the petitioner. (In
the middle of a white sheet of
paper 8 ½ x 11).
This signature MUST BE exactly
as the one shown in the panamanian personal
ID.
8. Western Union money order
(no others accepted) issued to "Fondo
Especial de Pasaportes"
in the amount of $50.00 (single cashier's
check).
9. Courier and other fees: $120.00
Western Union (no others accepted) Money
Order payable to "Consulado
de Panama" for courier expense
and consular fees.
10. A letter addressed to the Consulate of Panama in Houston with your contact information:

For underage or minors
Including the requirements in the section Requirements for Panamanian Passport, you will need also:
1. Application form
for a minor must be signed
by the father and mother
2. Signed letter from father and mother authorizing the Consulate to request the minor's passport . (This document should be also signed and stamped by the Consulate)

3. Photocopy of personal identification
card of the minor.
4. Photocopy of personal identification
card of both mother and father of the
minor. Call the consulate for exceptions.
5. If you need to void a minor's passport, please fill the following form.

Renewal of lost or stolen passport
Including the requirements in the section Requirements for Panamanian Passport, you will need also:
1. Copy of Police report. Must include passport number that has been lost or stolen
2. Western Union money order
(no others accepted) issued to "Fondo
Especial de Pasaportes" in the amount
of $4.00
3. Fill the form "Anulación de pasaporte"

Renewal of passport before expiration time
Including the requirements in the section Requirements for Panamanian Passport, you will need also:
1. Letter explaining the reason of requesting a new passport
2. Western Union money order
(no others accepted) issued to "Fondo
Especial de Pasaportes" in the amount
of $4.00
3. Fill the form "Anulación de pasaporte"
